In Bulgaria the project was implemented in 5 high schools in Plovdiv region:
-
Professional high school of Electronics,
-
Professional high school of buildings, architecture and geodesy,
-
Professional high school of mechanics,
-
Professional highs school for appliances, and
-
High school Hristo Prodanov.
In total 252 pupils participated in the educational process and 17 of them were engaged with the School Energy Management Teams (SEMT).
The educational process in Bulgaria consisted of five phases:

Education in schools by EAP’s team
EAP’s team visited the schools and provided manuals and background lessons that gave students and their teachers good knowledge of energy management and energy monitoring -
Site visits ( boiler houses, buildings, etc) in each schools
SEMTs visited the boiler rooms and school buildings of the all participating schools. They were well-informed about the building energy infrastructure and its maintenance. -
Education in EAP’s premises
EAP’s premises became a learning lab where the SEMTs received more concrete knowledge of energy management in SMEs and RES applications. Technical experts from EAP guided the students in doing a full audit of their schools. -
Visits, workshops with the workplace team
With the knowledge gained during the educational part, the SEMTs went to the workplace fully prepared and upgraded their knowledge, while analyzing the energy consumption of the workplace’s industrial buildings. The team of energy experts of EAP, workplace and SEMTs has worked together for solutions in three energy tasks in the workplace. -
