Communication about the project activity was an important focus so that a wide awareness and interest in the work could be generated with a view to longer term replication.

In the first phase each partner produced a leaflet  about the forthcoming project to encourage participation and, during the project action, newsletters  and press releases  were produced, and conference presentations  made to keep participants and the wider public informed of project events.

As the project was coming to a close the partnership wanted to share the lessons learned from the experience and encourage others to take similar courses of action.  Framework documents  presenting the lessons learned about engaging schools and workplaces in sustainable energy education were produced, along with case studies  of best practice schools. In a specific effort to engage new schools to the project work each partner disseminated project information to 100 schools  in their regions and from the response rate the five most interested schools in each country were invited to receive a roadshow event that bought aspects of the project action to their schools in order that they may get a ‘taster’ of what YEP! is all about.

A full report of the YEP! project activity across the participating European Regions and its results is available for download.
