Agència Energètica de la Ribera (AER)
The Agència Energètica de la Ribera (AER) is an autonomous organisation of the Consorci de la Ribera, which was formed by the county councils of the Ribera Alta and Ribera Baixa. The agency was created in July 2001 within the framework of the European program SAVE II-2000.
Activity range of the AER includes 47 villages with a population of 270,000 inhabitants in the Valencian counties of la Ribera Alta and la Ribera Baixa.
The aims of the AER are to introduce an energy saving culture, taking advantage of endogenous energy sources and contributing through renewable energy sources, to achieve sustainable development of our region.
Some of the services are:

Energy efficiency program of our territory.

Raising public awareness, information and spreading of rational use of energy.

Certification and energy diagnosis of buildings and industry.

Creation of jobs in relation to energy management.

Creation of new educational curricular profiles in relation to energy management and the environment.

Promoting information and optimal use of renewable energies.

Protection of the environment, reducing and replacing impact of traditional energy use.

Favouring technological investigation on energy.

Improving energy security.

Advising local authorities in energy matters, stimulating energy projects accomplishment and presentation of projects within the framework of European Union programmes.
